An entry in a Super Bowl Doritos ad contest is causing a stir. Is this any more offensive than the regular liturgical abuses one receives on a week to week basis?

I mean, this is just a silly ad. What is happening in the real-life parishes? Why aren't people complaining about pulling those "ads."

Funny how when the media need to portray religion ... its never Minister Bob and his Protestant flock. Roman Catholics are not even the majority in this country yet we get maximum play from Hollywood/Madison ave.

In the second dreary installment of a series we take a simplistic view of the Mass readings in the USA in the Ordinary Rite of the Mass (Novus Ordo Missae).

Tha first installment of the series was posted a year ago and it left me thoroughly disheartened. If I had had the time I was going to create compendium of the diabolical edits to the Scriptures performed by the USCCB and then do an analysis of any commonalities to draw a fair-minded conclusion. To be frank, I did it one week, already saw the pattern and gave up on it. I didn't even feel like blogging anymore so I spent the rest of the year playing dopey Novus Ordo lay person (something I'm good at.)

The final stake in the heart of that plan (to play dopey Novus Ordo possum) was when my parish switched out the music of the Mass my family liked to go to ... such that normally staid, reserved organ music was displaced by head-bopping guitarists and their hip swinging female groupies. I was trapped. And so, back to the salt mines of blogging while I drag my spiritually battered body into the local Tridentine Mass these days as a sort of spiritual anti-venom from the Modernist neurotoxins which have passed into my eyes and ears.

Something that has troubled me about the New Mass, and I don't know if this goes on in other countries .. well right there .. the idea that there are different readings in different countries breaking the whole concept of "Catholic" but there is something weird going on with the readings. If you look at the readings selected on any given Sunday, the passages chosen are always broken up, missing sentences, somewhat nonsensical.

This time ... it is the Responsorial Psalm. I suppose I should be grateful because the parish I was visiting actually used the prescribed Responsial Psalm prescribed by the Bishops and did not alter it due to a preference a differnt tune that the folk/pep band had been jamming on that week.

Slap Chop pitch man

According to the USCCB the Responsorial Psalm for this Epiphany Sunday was Psalm 72: 1-2, 7-8, 10-11, 12-13. Now out of defence to our dear Bishops who have threatened prosecution of copyright infringement violations against blogs for using their New American Bible, I'll stick with Douay Rheims to do the analysis. This passage is Psalm 71 in the D-R but the verse numbers match up.

Oh, what evil did the holy slap-chop Scriptures editors in D.C. shield the tender ears of the innocent laity from? The permitted Psalm verses are in black and the excised are in red.

1 A psalm on Solomon. 2 GIVE to the king thy judgment, O God: and to the king's son thy justice: To judge thy people with justice, and thy poor with judgment. 3 Let the mountains receive peace for the people: and the hills justice. 4 He shall judge the poor of the people, and he shall save the children of the poor: and he shall humble the oppressor. 5 And he shall continue with the sun, and before the moon, throughout all generations. 6 He shall come down like rain upon the fleece; and as showers falling gently upon the earth. 7 In his days shall justice spring up, and abundance of peace, till the moon be taken away. 8 And he shall rule from sea to sea, and from the river unto the ends of the earth. 9 Before him the Ethiopians shall fall down: and his enemies shall lick the ground. 10 The kings of Tharsis and the islands shall offer presents: the kings of the Arabians and of Saba shall bring gifts: 11 And all kings of the earth shall adore him: all nations shall serve him. 12 For he shall deliver the poor from the mighty: and the needy that had no helper. 13 He shall spare the poor and needy: and he shall save the souls of the poor.

Ah, HA! The excised verses show the Psalmist painting an even-handed nature to God whose judgement will be universal, the poor will be delivered but they will be judged, too. And even God's enemies will fall down and lick the ground that God Himself created.

Without the excised verses one gets a twisted, uneven picture, only seeing vindication for the poor.

Conclusion:

1. The USCCB supplied readings are mangled, manipulated and exhibit the worst mistake that all protestants make .... taking snippets from the Bible to misconstrue points

2. There's a theme and reason for the omissions. Theme: [The Bishops] are false witnesses to God, their viewpoint smacks of dialectical materialism. ( I will keep coming back to the main theme of what is chopped so in the end of this little weekly excercise we can see what's in the Bible that the Bishops hate.) Theme: The Bishops want to inject a quasi-Marxist framework (more on this in the next post.) The reject the even-handedness of the lord, so much so that they cannot stand a verse which mentiones the judgement rendered on the poor.

3. There's a theme and reason for the omissions. Verse 9 challenges the moderist tenet of universal salvation (to include obstinate heretics.) That verse was obviously too much for the USCCB and they are seeking to deceive the laity.

De-mystifying the Faith with an Anti-Antiphon

Having coursed through endless tracts analyzing the Ordinary Rite of the Church (Novus Ordo Missae) which seek to contend that the Mass is a false one, something occurred to me. The Novus Ordo Missae, itself, does not claim any efficacy of its consecration of the bread in the Body of the Lord.

There's no need to troll through didactic texts and interpretations and talk of Councils and what was meant. The Rite itself does the job. How?

Reading the Eucharistic Prayer II of the Mass from the website of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops provides the objective evidence.

It reads: 102.

In the formulas that follow, the words of the Lord should be pronounced clearly and distinctly, as the nature of these words requires.

At the time he was betrayed
and entered willingly into his Passion,
He takes the bread
and, holding it slightly raised above the altar, continues:
he took bread and, giving thanks, broke it,
and gave it to his disciples, saying:
He bows slightly.

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND EAT OF IT,
FOR THIS IS MY BODY,
WHICH WILL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU.

He shows the consecrated host to the people, places it again on the paten, and genuflects in adoration.

103. After this, he continues:
In a similar way, when supper was ended,
He takes the chalice
and, holding it slightly raised above the altar, continues:
he took the chalice
and, once more giving thanks,
he gave it to his disciples, saying:

He bows slightly.

TAKE THIS, ALL OF YOU, AND DRINK FROM IT,
FOR THIS IS THE CHALICE OF MY BLOOD,
THE BLOOD OF THE NEW AND ETERNAL COVENANT,
WHICH WILL BE POURED OUT FOR YOU AND FOR MANY
FOR THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS.
DO THIS IN MEMORY OF ME.

He shows the chalice to the people, places it on the corporal, and genuflects in adoration.

No problem so far (they even corrected that persistent error in the consecration of the chalice so that it poured out for the MANY.)

But what happens next during the Mass?
104. Then he says:

The mystery of faith.

And the people continue, acclaiming:

We proclaim your Death, O Lord,
and profess your Resurrection
until you come again.
Or:
When we eat this Bread and drink this Cup,
we proclaim your Death, O Lord,
until you come again.
Or:
Save us, Savior of the world,
for by your Cross and Resurrection
you have set us free.

Now if the priest had just consecrated the host .... why would the laity be singing "when we eat this bread" ? Who is eating bread? Where is this bread? There's not supposed to be any more bread. Why would the laity be forced to sing about bread? Presuming that the priest believes that the host has been consecrated into the Body of Our Lord ... why would the laity be forced into this heretical antiphon?

On a side note, who is drinking the cup? We're supposed to be drinking His Blood. I suppose one could "drink of the cup." But no, this says drinking the cup, as if the cup were a liquid itself. And since we don't drink the cup (that's impossible) and we don't eat bread at Mass (it was confected perfectly) .... is it true that "We proclaim Your Death."

Seems like, in this Mass which was to guarantee active participation of the laity, they're cut out of all the action.

In conclusion, this antiphon condemns the Mass to error or condemns the laity to error.

Another interesting side note: The online Cambridge Dictionary did not even carry the word ANTIPHON.

A little clearer and a lot stronger treatment of the issue from Brother Andre Marie from SBC Richmond, NH link. Still there's a problem with having to rush out with these "what he meant to say" statements. The Vatican was all over the place with clarifications, re-statements, discussions of the masculaine vs feminine German pronouns, other translation issues.

Maybe it was all just Prostitute Ethics 101 ... I'm not cynical, but I know people who are. People were interpreting all this to mean, "condoms for diseased prostitutes okay, but you married people keep having those babies." The cynical keep getting more cynical and these are the people who go to Mass and send their kids to parochial school! Perhaps they, too, are looking for the contraception okay and now feel left out.

My head still hurts though the Brother's article is having an aspirin-like effect on me.

I hate to sound like a know it all but I foresaw the massacre of the Christians in Iraq as early as 2006. Later, news stories ran of huge numbers of them relocating to San Diego, CA. I believe the State Department at the time was expediting their departure, too.

People were leaving everything, their businesses, their homes. As time rolled on, it has become apparent that some Christians could not get out fast enough. One 3 year old, now serves as an innocent martyr.

I have often quipped (but only to myself) that the Tridentine Mass is the wave of the future and that the Novus Ordo Missae is the old timers Mass.

Apparently, this notion is catching on. I think the folk/pop music format that is so prevalent will eventually be seen for what it is .... something sorta rooted in the 1970s/1980s. The Tridentine Mass has that aura of timelessness, there's quiet spaces in the Mass, perfect for the raging cacophony of these times.

My head hurts. That is the only way to describe the situation swirling around the whole Pope Benedict XVI condom use issue. I found recently a lengthy statement that accurately sums up what I'm thinking. More on this later .. here it is: (from the St Joseph's Men Society)

Please allow me to clarify the statement Pope Benedict made about condom use. First the controversy was primarily caused by the Pope himself because he always uses ambigous "new speak" when making statements that should be more precise and clear. For example to pope's answer to a question about the criticism some have expressed about the Church's prohibitin against condoms is as follows: "...There may be a basis in the case of some individuals, as perhaps when a male prostitute uses a condom, where this can be a first step in the direction of a moralization, a first assumption of responsibility, on the way toward recovering an awareness that not everything is allowed and that one cannot do whatever one wants. But it is not really the way to deal with the evil of HIV infection. That can really lie only in a humanization of sexuality."

Translation in normal language: 'I suppose one could make the case that the use of condoms in certain cases could be a sign of moral responsibility. An example might be seen in the case of a homosexual using a condom to prevent infecting his partner with the HIV virus. In other words, the very act of sodomy is a perversion that is a mortal sin, therefore one should not add to the sin of sodomy with the sin of murder. Besides, in this case condom use is not to prevent the conception of children. The deliberate frustration of natural conception is what the Church prohibits.'

The interviewer goes on the ask: "Are you saying, then, that the Catholic Church is actually not opposed in principle to the use of condoms?"

The Pope answers in even more vague and confusing terms: "She of course does not regard it as a real or moral solution, but, in this or that case, there can be nonetheless, in the intention of reducing the risk of infection, a first step in a movement toward a different way, a more human way, of living sexuality."

Huh? Now understand I have a degree in Philosophy but this existentialist/phenomenological bull crap just doesn't fly when to comes to the precision needed in moral philosophy and theology. So let me translate again:

'Of course the Church does not regard the use of condoms even to prevent AIDS as morally permissible specifically where the conception of children is concerned. However, in cases of sodomy or other illicit sexual actions that do not involve conception it would be better to avoid spreading a life threatening disease. Condom use would be more sexually responsible, more human, for unrepentant homosexuals who have no intention of living chaste lives according to the Gospel and Natural Law.'

Even this post is a tad more charitable than I am feeling right now but it'll do for now.

I'm anticipating the objections of people even to this but more on that later. All posts on this subject I'll label Latex Catholicism. To better express my feelings, I'll say this, Pope Benedict XVI has wrapped himself in a giant latex condom from which he'll never excape.

Sometimes these articles come off as jealous and/or angry toward those of the Muslim religion. To me, this is not even provoking alarm. The United Kingdom is lost to Christendom long before the Muslims showed up in any appreciable numbers. This is the fruit of betrayal. Betrayal of tradition, of clear thinking, of a religion and a God that is knowable. I bet the fathers of those Muslim students pray at the Mosque. The fathers of the Roman Catholic students? And even if they did go to Mass. What would be offered? Guitar strumming and homilies about nothing?

Wimpy Protestantism, its step-child athiestic indifferentism or even luke warm Roman Catholicism is no match for Islam. Besides, were the recent arrivals to the U.K. offered any alternatives? Did the school insist on basic instruction with the goal of conversion of these students? Of course not. So, one can draw the scenario to its logical end.

Ireland take note. Embrace modernism, promote abortion, wipe Roman Catholicism from your plate and you'll continue to head the way of England. Not even luke warm religiosity will save you. Ireland, the EU has stolen all your money, next come the longknives. Ireland, pray the Rosary, call on St. Mary, throw yourselves at the foot of Jesus, before it is too late.

This humble blog is coming up on 5 years and the old format was getting a little tired. I have no HTML skills so the old code was getting a little wonky. I really missed the Real Clear Religion feed and there's all kinds of new features to these new BLOGGER templates.

2010 was a real stinker as far as blogging and I cannot promise anything more than what I wrote in my first post in 2006. About one blog per week is about the most I can handle. Maybe 2011 will feature a bit more.

Something that has troubled me about the New Mass, and I don't know if this goes on in other countries .. well right there .. the idea that there are different readings in different countries breaking the whole concept of "Catholic" but there is something weird going on with the readings. If you look at the readings selected on any given Sunday, the passages chosen are always broken up, missing sentences, somewhat nonsensical.

Let's take this week's readings for a starter and then perform this analysis of what the USCCB (United State Conference of Catholic Bishops) has deemed inappropriate for the ears at Mass. The Second Reading for this Sunday (Feb 14) is listed as: 1 Cor 15: 12, 16-20. To the uninitiated that Paul's First Letter to the Corinthians, Chapter 15, verses 12 and then 16 through 20. But wait, what about verses 13, 14 and 15? What is contained in there ? How often is this done? Is there a pattern here? On a more basic level. If you wrote a letter, how would you feel about an editing committee chopping out whole sentences?

At first glance, it looks like the USCCB completely butchers the passage, joining 12 & 13 but even still you can see what they chopped (which I highlighted in read in text lifted right off the Vatican site.)

FROM THE USCCB:

Brothers and sisters:
If Christ is preached as raised from the dead,
how can some among you say there is no resurrection of the dead?
If the dead are not raised, neither has Christ been raised, and if Christ has not been raised, your faith is vain;
you are still in your sins.
Then those who have fallen asleep in Christ have perished.
If for this life only we have hoped in Christ, we are the most pitiable people of all. But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.

WHOLE SECTION FROM THE VATICAN:

So the USCCB did worse than leave out sentences (in red) , they chopped them in half!

In the red, Paul takes to task those that do not preach correctly. Hmm... looks like the USCCB didn't like that. He is addressing them directly. He convicts them. And they must be guilty of something, not wanting to hear the words or wanting us to hear them. The USCCB manipulates the passage to solely point the finger at the laity, when Paul is actually warning both the laity and the clergy (and thereby, himself).

On a side note, here's the Douay Rheims which translates closely and honestly from the Latin. Not only is it a clearer formulation of the concepts .. Verse 20 is actually staring a whole new paragraph !!!!

12 Now if Christ be preached, that he arose again from the dead, how do some among you say, that there is no resurrection of the dead? 13 But if there be no resurrection of the dead, then Christ is not risen again. 14 And if Christ be not risen again, then is our preaching vain, and your faith is also vain. 15 Yea, and we are found false witnesses of God: because we have given testimony against God, that he hath raised up Christ; whom he hath not raised up, if the dead rise not again. 16 For if the dead rise not again, neither is Christ risen again. 17 And if Christ be not risen again, your faith is vain, for you are yet in your sins. 18 Then they also that are fallen asleep in Christ, are perished. 19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

It gets worse. In the Gospel the USCCB inexplicably chops out these sentences (verses 18 & 19) just before Jesus gives the sermon on the Mount.

I mean, why do this? Why go through the effort of mangle the Bible in this fashion? How dare one do that? Let's go the context of what is chopped: People go to Jesus to hear him, get cured of their diseases, even those who were tormented by unclean spirits.

Based on my thesis of Bishops chopping what they do not like because it burns their ears: The Bishops don't want people going to Jesus for direct healing, including those with unclean spirits. In a modern context one can take "unclean spirits" to mean things like addictions, things that take over your mind and lead you away from morality.

Conclusion:

“This has been going on for the last 10 years, but especially in the most recent games,” said Lance Christian, 32, of Alton, Illinois. “It wasn’t until last month when I said, ‘enough is enough!’ I’m a gamer, but I’m deep into my faith and I think God is showing me this so I can make other people aware of it.”

He has seen games gradually become more occult-based, promoting Satan and even the persecution of Christians. For instance, in one game, players kill the Archangels Michael, Gabriel and Raphael before going on to destroy God. Another game requires players to sell their soul to the devil and rewards them for “killing unbaptized infants.” One game has Muslims killing Christians in a holy war.

All these games seem to have one central theme - God is the enemy and the devil is the hero. One game guide blatantly states: “The Judeo-Christian God is portrayed as the prominent villain in the series . . .”

“This is just the tip of the iceberg in what I have discovered,” Mr. Christian said. “I feel that the devil has a new tool to work with in this age of technology, and the majority of adults in a position of responsibility are left in the dark.”

He provided us with the following list of the most egregious games:

1) Tecmo’s Deception: Invitation To Darkness (Playstation) – Players “make an unholy pact and sell their soul to Satan in exchange for power” with the object of the game being to ensure the resurrection of Satan and obtain his power. (This game is rated “T” for teen.)

2) Nocturne (Playstation 2) - A game in which the hero (a demon) destroys the three archangels St. Michael, Gabriel and Raphael, then goes on to destroy God.

3) Devil Summoner (Playstation 2) – Involves communicating with and recruiting demons. One demon tells the player “That Catholic Church is such an eyesore” and in the end of the game, blows up the Church.

4) Shadow Hearts (Playstation 2) - The hero uses his power to intercept and destroy God and “save the world.” Some games in this series are rated “T”.

5) Assassin’s Creed (Playstation 3/Xbox 360) – Main character is a Muslim assassin assigned to kill Christians.

6) Dragon’s Age Origins (Playstation 3/Xbox 360) – Game revolves around the story of God going mad and cursing the world. A witch attacks believers and players can “have sex” with her in a pagan act called “blood magic” so she can “give birth to a god.” Another scenario allows player to have sex with a demon in exchange for a boy’s soul.

7) Dante’s Inferno (Playstation 3/Xbox 360) – Loosely based on the Divine Comedy, player travels through nine circles of Hell, fighting demons, “unbaptized babies” and other tormented souls. (This game is being considered for a movie by Universal Pictures.)

8) Guitar Hero (Playstation) – Players use guitars decorated with pentagrams. God is repeatedly mocked by the devil and in the end, the devil is the hero of the game. Women dressed as Catholic school girls are degraded. (Rated “T” for teen)

Other games with Satanic themes are Darksiders, Koudelka, Trapt, and Bayonetta.

VATICAN CITY (CNS) -- A top Vatican official said religious orders today are in a "crisis" caused in part by the adoption of a secularist mentality and the abandonment of traditional practices.

Cardinal Franc Rode, prefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life, said the problems go deeper than the drastic drop in the numbers of religious men and women.

"The crisis experienced by certain religious communities, especially in Western Europe and North America, reflects the more profound crisis of European and American society. All this has dried up the sources that for centuries have nourished consecrated and missionary life in the church," Cardinal Rode said in a talk delivered Feb. 3 in Naples, Italy.

"The secularized culture has penetrated into the minds and hearts of some consecrated persons and some communities, where it is seen as an opening to modernity and a way of approaching the contemporary world," he said.

Cardinal Rode said the decline in the numbers of men and women religious became precipitous after the Second Vatican Council, which he described as a period "rich in experimentation but poor in robust and convincing mission."

There is what I would consider hard fascism/socialism/communism, and then there’s the softer variety. Both are oppressive with regard to freedoms and both share multiple traits. They differ though in how they achieve their goals. In the case of hard communism, governments like the old Soviet Union and their satellite eastern bloc countries used the gun as the primary means to enforce and promulgate their ideology.

Fast forward now to modern day Europe and America; the age of Obama is in full swing and Europe is already nothing more than an impotent shadow of its former self. In our day and age, we have a softer variety of socialism to contend with. Instead of guns, the ideology is supported with various opiates like government entitlements and the redistribution of wealth. Bullets have essentially been replaced with a gigantic government wet nurse who insists on keeping her adult charges in diapers.

But, peer a little deeper . . . just beneath the guns or diapers . . . and you will see a commonality between the hard and the soft varieties of fascism/socialism/communism. What you will unearth is sloth. I’m not talking about the animal mind you. I’m speaking instead of sloth with respect to its definition under the seven deadly sins, which unfortunately has become all but lost in our era.

Peter Kreeft in his wonderful and relevant book, “Back to Virtue,” reminds our generation what sloth is and isn’t. It is not, for example, laziness. Americans especially are highly productive. We are, by nature, go-getters. Many of us live at a frenetic pace, balancing the responsibilities of work and family. We are hardly lazy . . . yet, as a nation we are sliding to Gomorrah on the sloth express.

So, what is the old time definition of sloth that is so lost from the common knowledge of our era and thusly so imperils our society? According to St. Augustine it is, “sorrow about spiritual good.” Peter Kreeft gives an updated version of Augustine’s definition by restating it as:

“Joylessness when faced with God as our supreme good” (Back to Virtue. Peter Kreeft, page 153)

Sloth is, as Kreeft explains, the state of being when one has simply lost his appetite for God. This, of course, also happens to be an absolutely necessary prerequisite of both hard and soft fascism/socialism/communism. In the hard variety, churches were simply taken over by the state and converted to other non-religious uses. In countries like China, the practice of non-state sanctioned religion is a punishable offence worthy of an all expense paid trip to a re-education resort (aka, a concentration camp).

On the other hand, the soft variety of socialism encourages sloth by employing the equivalent of cyanide laced Kool Aide. In our current era, a little bit of sugar makes the socialist ideology go down. Religion in soft socialism becomes pigeonholed as an entirely subjective, personal ‘tradition’ that should never, ever intrude into one’s civic life. If you do not behave toward religion in this prescribed manner, then you are guilty of violating soft socialism’s uber-value, tolerance. Of course, in soft socialism’s case, tolerance is used as the primary weapon to dismantle the people’s reliance on God.

The governor also spoke briefly about Bristol and the choices she had to make and the love and joy that Tripp has brought to their lives. Clearly, Governor Palin is very proud of her daughter and her grandson that is almost a year old. Governor Palin stated that people make mistakes but a beautiful child came as a result of that mistake. A mistake is no reason to take a life.

There were plenty of religious references that would send the lefties into spasms. It was rather refreshing to see someone speak of their religious beliefs at a political event. She even read John 16:13 to the crowd: "But when He, the Spirit of truth, comes, He will guide you into all the truth; for He will not speak on His own initiative..."

To my fellow pro-lifers, this passage makes sense to all of us. The governor’s speech was so passionate and so full of love for all of God’s children. As she stated many like to call us “anti-freedom or anti-abortion”, but the truth is that we are “pro-children.”

Something else to make the liberal heads spin, she then progressed into the health care reform bill. Questioning why it is that lawmakers will not take the time to read the bill. Governor Palin also spoke of the need for Speaker Pelosi to allow an amendment to bar American taxpayers from having to pay for abortions.

This line of speaking brought us to my favorite line that the Governor stated this evening: Abortion is NOT health care.

Personally, this was my favorite line. These words are so very true. A baby is not something simple like a wart that you can just have removed; it is a life and that life should not be treated like every other health issue. (The whole wart analogy was mine, not the governor’s. I did get her point, though.)

Governor Palin spoke at length about the Pope, John Paul II. Pope John Paul II had a real passion for life. Wisconsin is pretty heavily Catholic and the crowd went nuts each time she referenced some of the passionate words the Pope spoke in on the issue of life.

When we got word recently that the movie “2012” depicts the Vatican being blown up, along with the famous statue from Rio, Christ the Redeemer, we were unmoved. Why? Because this occurs during the end of the world in a massive destruction. This kind of sensationalism, we reasoned, is standard fare for director Roland Emmerich: he is the guru of the “blow ‘em up” genre of movies. But now we’ve learned that while Catholics get theirs, Muslims are spared. Out of fear, of course.

Emmerich is more than a coward—he is a liar who has it out for Catholics. Last year, he was quoted saying, “I would like to erase all nations and religions.” Not true. He is quite content to live with Islam, even though he readily admits it is a religion of terror. When asked why he did not show the destruction of Kaaba, the religious structure in the Grand Mosque in Mecca, he said, “I wanted to do that, I have to admit. You can actually let Christian symbols fall apart, but if you would do this with [an] Arab symbol, you would have…a fatwa.”

So why was the Sistine Chapel designated for destruction? “We have to show how this gets destroyed….I am against organized religion.” Emmerich lies again. He is not against Islam.

After bragging that the movie shows the Sistine Chapel falling on people’s heads, Emmerich explains the moral of the story: “Never pray in front of a big church. Pray by yourself.” He lies again: Muslims who want to pray in front of a mosque are safe. That’s because, as Emmerich sees it, they’re known to kill those who offend their religion.

Every time I say Hollywood hates Christianity, especially Catholicism, my critics cringe. But they never offer evidence that I’m wrong.

Bill Donohue nails it. The liberals are cowards and they fear. Better yet they know many Catholics will pay money to be insulted. Oh well, another movie to skip.

Last Friday on the Washington Post blog, “On Faith,” English atheist Richard Dawkins said the Catholic Church was “surely up there among the leaders” as “the greatest force for evil in the world.” He labeled the Eucharist a “cannibal feast,” adding that “possession of testicles is an essential qualification to perform the rite.” He also blamed the Church for sending missionaries “out to tell deliberate lies to AIDS-weakened Africans” regarding condoms. The Church’s outreach to Anglicans, he said, makes it “a common pimp,” noting that those who convert “will be joining an institution where buggering altar boys pervades the culture.”
On Saturday, a Los Angeles Times editorial said that “church leaders, including popes, have changed their thinking over the years about everything from usury to the culpability of Jews for the Crucifixion….” It concluded, “You don’t have to be Catholic (or Anglican) to realize that society as a whole would be better off if the church’s views of women and gays underwent a similar evolution.”
On Sunday, New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd recalled that when she was in grade school, “Nuns were second-class citizens then and–40 years after feminism utterly changed America—they still are.” She called Pope Benedict XVI the “uber-conservative pope,” a.k.a. “God’s Rottweiler,” who was once “a conscripted member of the Hitler Youth.” She also accused the Church of enabling “rampant pedophilia.”
On Monday, James Carroll in the Boston Globe called the outreach to Anglicans “a cruel assault,” “an insult to loyal Catholic liberals” and “a slap at women and homosexuals.” He characterized the outreach as a “preemptive exploitation of Anglican distress.”
These deranged comments—all voiced in America’s premier newspapers—demonstrate that anti-Catholicism is the most virulent expression of bigotry in the U.S. It also shows why these newspapers, quite unlike the Catholic Church, are dying. As for the writers, they need to go to church. Either that or check into an asylum.

She's got some unusual habits.
Octomom Nadya Suleman poked fun at herself by dressing as a pregnant nun for some early Halloween trick-or-treating with her brood.
Her eight adorable babies were dressed in tiny red devil costumes, and their giant strollers -- each carries four kids -- were draped with fake spider webs.
Although Suleman smiled sweetly for the photo, her babies flubbed it -- most of them crying or sleeping.
Suleman raised a ruckus in January when she gave birth to eight children via in-vitro fertilization.

This is my annual Halloween posting. In the recent years I have wavered on the concept of Halloween and I think it's time to trash it for good. Cultural/historical background notwithstanding Halloween has evolved into an embrace of the demonic with a sprinkling of Church bashing (the last acceptable form of prejudice in America.)

New York's iconic Empire State Building will light up red and yellow on Wednesday (local time) in honour of the 60th anniversary of communist China.

The Chinese consul, Peng Keyu, and other officials will take part in the lighting ceremony which will bathe the skyscraper in the colours of the People's Republic until Thursday, Empire State Building representatives said in a statement.

There are many labels: but I'll stick to what I know. Sen. Ted Kennedy was the best friend the Soviet Union had in my life time. Here's a portion of an article detailing the some "constituent services" offered to then Soviet Leader Yuri Andropov:

Some would go farther and say that the memorandum from Victor Chebrikov, the top man at the KGB that was addressed to Yuri Andropov, the top man in the entire USSR, outlining a secret proposal made by Senator Ted Kennedy to the Soviets to help them "understand Reagan" in return for their help in making him president, constitutes treason.

It's not a word to throw around lightly and the reason I refrain from using it is because I am unsure Kennedy's actions meet the definition. Kennedy was not in direct contact with Andropov, using his good friend John Tunney, former senator from California, as a messenger boy to deliver the proposal to the Soviets. And he wasn't proposing to betray any secrets.

Kennedy's message was simple. He proposed an unabashed quid pro quo. Kennedy would lend Andropov a hand in dealing with President Reagan. In return, the Soviet leader would lend the Democratic Party a hand in challenging Reagan in the 1984 presidential election. "The only real potential threats to Reagan are problems of war and peace and Soviet-American relations," the memorandum stated. "These issues, according to the senator, will without a doubt become the most important of the election campaign."

Kennedy made Andropov a couple of specific offers.

First he offered to visit Moscow. "The main purpose of the meeting, according to the senator, would be to arm Soviet officials with explanations regarding problems of nuclear disarmament so they may be better prepared and more convincing during appearances in the USA." Kennedy would help the Soviets deal with Reagan by telling them how to brush up their propaganda.

Then he offered to make it possible for Andropov to sit down for a few interviews on American television. "A direct appeal ... to the American people will, without a doubt, attract a great deal of attention and interest in the country. ... If the proposal is recognized as worthy, then Kennedy and his friends will bring about suitable steps to have representatives of the largest television companies in the USA contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the interviews. ...

Tom Milner, 76, was not given his prescribed pain-relieving morphine for terminal leukaemia in his last two days, his family say.
He was left writhing in agony and lay in his own urine and blood at The NHS [National Health Service] Palliative Care Ward at Sheffield's Northern General Hospital.
His daughter Janet Brooks wrote and signed a letter to the National Patients Safety Agency outlining her concerns about his treatment. Janet, 54, said: "They responded with 'Dear Tom'. It's an example of the careless and shambolic attitude by the NHS towards my father and our family.
"We wanted his last days to be as peaceful and dignified as possible but at one point he was twisting and turning, laying in blood and urine. There was no compassion."
Two MPs wrote to the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for answers, but to no avail.
Hilary Scholefield, the Trust's Chief Nurse, said a review found that staff had treated electrician Tom "appropriately and professionally".

Palliative care is the care given to someone who completely terminal, who has exhausted all reason means of cure. Nothing wrong with palliative care, in fact my mother went on that after her massive stroke. Even when she was given full blown care her body started shutting down so we read the "read leaves" and put her on palliative. The idea behind palliative is to ease your discomfort, to let the body go through the death process which it'll naturally fight even when the brainwaves have ceased.

Sounds like the "account" had run out of the "free care" at the hospital.

I had been wondering how to go about blogging about the nationalized health care debate. This is not a blog about boring legislation or financial matters but the issue cam into to range as the push for nationalized healthcare as advocated for by socialists revealed it true nature: It is a new front opened by the Culture of Death. That'll be the thesis and there's a torrent of news articles, documents and individuals which will prove this point.

We know the phony arguments about abortion. Well, they're bringing that same death dealing to the entire populace under the cloak of "affordability", "rights", "access." Its most horrifying to see what is happening in countries that have gone down this path already and British newspapers have been doing a good job of documenting this horrible situation.

How's this for apocalyptic literature. This was written by a pastor's wife in biblical prose as a commentary of current events. It is brilliant.

And it came to pass in the Age of Insanity that the people of the land called America , having lost their morals, their initiative, and their will to defend their liberties, chose as their Supreme Leader that person known as "The One."

He emerged from the vapors with a message that had no meaning; but He hypnotized the people telling them, "I am sent to save you." My lack of experience, my questionable ethics, my monstrous ego, and my association with evil doers are of no consequence. I shall save you with hope and Change. Go, therefore, and proclaim throughout the land that he who proceeded me is evil, that he has defiled the nation, and that all he has built must be destroyed. And the people rejoiced, for even though they knew not what "The One" would do, he had promised that it was good; and they believed. And "The One" said " We live in the greatest country in the world. And "The One" ridiculed and taunted him, and Joe's personal records were hacked and publicized. One lone reporter asked, "Isn't that Marxist policy?" And she was banished from the kingdom!

Then a citizen asked, "With no foreign relations experience and having zero military experience or knowledge, how will deal with radical terrorists?" And "The One" said, "Simple. I shall sit with them and talk with them and show them how nice we really are; and they will forget that they ever wanted to kill us all!" And the people said, "Hallelujah!! We are safe at last, and we can beat our weapons into free cars for the people!"

Then "The One" said "I shall give 95% of you lower taxes." And one, lone voice said, "But 40% of us don't pay ANY taxes." So "The One" said, "Then I shall give you some of the taxes the fat-cats pay!" And the people said, "Hallelujah! Show us the money!" Then "The One" said, "I shall tax your Capital Gains when you sell your homes!" And the people yawned and the slumping housing market collapsed. And He said.. "I shall mandate employer-funded health care for every worker and raise the minimum wage. And I shall give every person unlimited healthcare and medicine and transportation to the clinics." And the people said, "Give me some of that!" Then he said, "I shall penalize employers who ship jobs overseas." And the people said, "Where's my rebate check?"

Then "The One" said, "I shall bankrupt the coal industry and electricity rates will skyrocket!" And the people said, "Coal is dirty, coal is evil, no more coal! But we don't care for that part about higher electric rates." So "The One" said, Not to worry. If your rebate isn't enough to cover your expenses, we shall bail you out. Just sign up with the ACORN and you troubles are over!"

Then He said, "Illegal immigrants feel scorned and slighted. Let's grant them amnesty, Social Security, free education, free lunches, free medical care, bi-lingual signs and guaranteed housing..." And the people said, "Hallelujah!" and they made him king!

And so it came to pass that employers, facing spiraling costs and ever-higher taxes, raised their prices and laid off workers. Others simply gave up and went out of business and the economy sank like unto a rock dropped from a cliff. The banking industry was destroyed. Manufacturing slowed to a crawl. And more of the people were without a means of support.

Then "The One" said, "I am the "the One"- The Messiah - and I'm here to save you! We shall just print more money so everyone will have enough!" But our foreign trading partners said unto Him. "Wait a minute. Your dollar is not worth a pile of camel dung! You will have to pay more... And "The One" said, "Wait a minute. That is unfair!!" And the world said, "Neither are these other idiotic programs you have embraced. Lo, you have become a Socialist state and a second-rate power. Now you shall play by our rules!"

And the people cried out, "Alas, alas!! What have we done?" But yea verily, it was too late. The people set upon The One and spat upon him and stoned him, and his name was dung. And the once mighty nation was no more; and the once proud people were without sustenance or shelter or hope. And the Change "The One" had given them was as like unto a poison that had destroyed them and like a whirlwind that consumed all that they had built.

And the people beat their chests in despair and cried out in anguish, "give us back our nation and our pride and our hope!!" But it was too late, and their homeland was no more.

A More Sober Assessment

It's Time To Part Company

One political question we have to answer is whether George W. Bush or Albert Gore shall be president and just which party will control the House of Representatives and the Senate. But I'd suggest that there's a far more important long run question we must answer: If one group of people prefers government control and management of people's lives and another prefers liberty and a desire to be left alone, should they be required to fight, antagonize one another, risk bloodshed and loss of life in order to impose their preferences or should they be able to peaceably part company and go their separate ways?

Like a marriage that has gone bad, I believe there are enough irreconcilable differences between those who want to control and those want to be left alone that divorce is the only peaceable alternative. Just as in a marriage, where vows are broken, our human rights protections guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution have been grossly violated by a government instituted to protect them. Americans who are responsible for and support constitutional abrogation have no intention of mending their ways.

Let's look at just some of the magnitude of the violations.

Article 1, Section 8 of our Constitution enumerates the activities for which Congress is authorized to tax and spend. James Madison, the acknowledged father of the Constitution, explained it in The Federalist Papers: "The powers delegated by the proposed Constitution to the federal government are few and defined. Those which are to remain in the State governments are numerous and indefinite. The former will be exercised principally on external objects, as war, peace, negotiation, and foreign commerce. . . . The powers reserved to the several States will extend to all the objects which in the ordinary course of affairs, concern the lives and liberties, and properties of the people, and the internal order, improvement and prosperity of the State."

Nowhere amongst the enumerated powers of congress is there authority to tax and spend for: Social Security, public education, farm subsidies, bank bailouts, food stamps and other activities that represent roughly two-thirds of the federal budget. Neither is there authority for Congress's mandates to the states and people about how they may use their land, the speed at which they can drive, whether a library has wheelchair ramps and the gallons of water used per toilet flush. A list of congressional violations of the letter and spirit of the Constitution is virtually without end.

Americans who wish to live free have two options: We can resist, fight and risk bloodshed to force America's tyrants to respect our liberties and human rights, or we can seek a peaceful resolution of our irreconcilable differences by separating. That can be done by peopling several states, say Texas and Louisiana, control their legislatures and then issue a unilateral declaration of independence just as the Founders did in 1776. You say, "Williams, nobody has to go that far, just get involved in the political process and vote for the right person." That's nonsense. Liberty shouldn't require a vote. It's a God-given or natural right.

Some independence or secessionists movements, such as our 1776 war with England and our 1861 War Between the States, have been violent, but they need not be. In 1905, Norway seceded from Sweden, Panama seceded from Columbia (1903), and West Virginia from Virginia (1863). Nonetheless, violent secession can lead to great friendships. England is probably our greatest ally and we have fought three major wars together. There is no reason why Texiana (Texas and Louisiana) couldn't peaceably secede, be an ally, and have strong economic ties with United States.

The bottom line question for all of us is should we part company or continue trying to forcibly impose our wills on one another?

National Divorce, Its Me not You

DIVORCE AGREEMENT

Dear American liberals, leftists, social progressives, socialists, Marxists and Obama supporters, et al:

We have stuck together since the late 1950's, but the whole of this latest election process has made me realize that I want a divorce. I know we tolerated each other for many years for the sake of future generations, but sadly, this relationship has run its course. Our two ideological sides of America cannot and will not ever agree on what is right so let's just end it on friendly terms. We can smile and chalk it up to irreconcilable differences and go our own way.

Here is a model separation agreement:

Our two groups can equitably divide up this country by landmass each taking a portion. That will be the difficult part, but I am sure our two sides can come to a friendly agreement. After that, it should be relatively easy! Our respective representatives can effortlessly divide other assets since both sides have such distinct and disparate tastes.

We don't like re-distributive taxes so you can keep them. You are welcome to the liberal judges and the ACLU. Since you hate guns and war, we'll take our firearms, the cops, the NRA and the military. You can keep Oprah, Michael Moore, and Rosie O'Donnell.. (You are, however, responsible for finding a bio-diesel vehicle big enough to move all three of them).

We'll keep the capitalism, greedy corporations, pharmaceutical companies, Wal-Mart, and Wall Street. You can have your beloved homeboys, hippies and illegal aliens. We'll keep the hot Alaskan hockey moms, greedy CEO's and rednecks. We'll keep the Bibles and give you NBC and Hollywood .

You can make nice with Iran and Palestine and we'll retain the right to invade and hammer places that threaten us. You can have the peaceniks and war protesters.

When our allies or our way of life are under assault, we'll help provide them security.

We'll keep our Judeo-Christian values. You are welcome to Islam, Scientology, Humanism, and Shirley McClain. You can also have the U.N., but we will no longer be paying the bills.

We'll keep the SUV's, pickup trucks, and oversized luxury cars. You can take every Volkswagen you can find.

We'll keep The Battle Hymn of the Republic and the National Anthem. I'm sure you'll be happy to substitute Imagine, I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing, Kum Ba Ya or We Are the World.

We'll practice trickle down economics and you can give trickle up poverty your best shot. Since it often so offends you, we'll keep our history, our name and our flag.

Why Are Internment Camps Being Built?

The Internet is abuzz with news about the construction of internment camps all across America. Of course, "mainstream" media outlets refuse to touch the subject; or if they do, they pooh-pooh the story; they do what Glenn Beck recently did: try to debunk the story as fallacious and impugn people who speak of it as "conspiracy nuts." The fact that the Becks, Hannitys, Limbaughs, and O'Reillys of the media circus refuse to deal with the construction of large numbers of internment camps does not make them disappear, however.

For starters, all anyone need do to begin a serious investigation of the subject of internment camps is Google the phrase "FEMA Camps." There is more than enough evidence in that search engine alone to keep one busy with some in-depth private investigation of the subject for quite a while.

Saint Thomas More was born 7 February 1478, in Milk Street, London, England

Saint Thomas More was an English lawyer, author, and statesman who in his lifetime gained a reputation as a leading Renaissance humanist scholar, and occupied many public offices, including Lord Chancellor (1529–1532).

Saint Thomas More was the eldest son of Sir John More, a successful lawyer who served as a judge in the King's Bench court.

To his father's great displeasure, Saint Thomas More seriously contemplated abandoning his legal career in order to become a monk.

I have written a great deal about the feminization of America's boys. While Feminists have become more masculine with every passing year, men and boys have become wimpy, feminized and afraid of their own shadows.

About five years ago at a Boy Scout meeting for my son who had been recently promoted to Boy Scout from Weeblos, I looked around the room and shivered. I leaned over to my husband and whispered, "There's not a single male role model in this room." Shortly after that meeting, my son changed Boy Scout troops to another where men ran the troop - although many pushy mothers tried.

Between the teachers, pushy feminist mothers, lawyers and Hollywood depicting men as idiots, men have been relegated to the dufus category and boys are cry babies. On the playground, boys can't play chase - someone might get hurt. Boys can't fight - someone might get hurt. They can't play on the monkey bars or jungle gyms, or play King of the Hill, or tackle soccer, or anything that might involve getting roughed up. Even in dodge ball, boys get in trouble for throwing the ball too hard at girls.

In 1st grade, my son was asked not to return to the snooty school he attended. I wondered what egregious act he might have committed to elicit such a strong, negative response from the school. The only answer I got from his teacher is that he got in trouble for being squirrly in the PE line. This was a female-dominated school, where natural boyish behavior was supressed and they were made to learn French. Obviously, it was a blessing that my son did not continue attending such a female dominated, effeminizing, snob school. And today, he's at a Midshipman at the Naval Academy - manly stuff.

Feminists are miserable women - they want to dominate men, and then when they succeed at that, they hate the men they dominate. Feminists have become so masculine over the years, it's often difficult to differentiate between a "feminist" and a gender-bending woman. It used to be attractive to be feminine. Manly men liked us, and we where happy being pretty, wearing dresses and makeup, being good mommies and wives, and often managing work.

I heard a recent interview with columnist Kathleen Parker. Her new book, "Save The Males" is an accurate depiction of our anti-male culture and the ramifications. We are living the evidence.

In September 2006, I wrote The Selfish Pursuit of Feminism, and later turned it into a newspaper column here. And in 2005, I wrote my first post on the Feminizing of Boys here. It's a problem, and a big one. A boy with a feminist mother does not have a chance; he's been terrorized for years. When he realizes who he is, he's already married to a demanding, pushy wife.

Parents must take charge of their boys and refuse to allow schools and female teachers to dictate medications and treatments that render them docile.

It must be said, that like the breaking of a great dam, the American decent into Marxism is happening with breath taking speed, against the back drop of a passive, hapless sheeple, excuse me dear reader, I meant people.

True, the situation has been well prepared on and off for the past century, especially the past twenty years. The initial testing grounds was conducted upon our Holy Russia and a bloody test it was. But we Russians would not just roll over and give up our freedoms and our souls, no matter how much money Wall Street poured into the fists of the Marxists.

Those lessons were taken and used to properly prepare the American populace for the surrender of their freedoms and souls, to the whims of their elites and betters.

First, the population was dumbed down through a politicized and substandard education system based on pop culture, rather then the classics. Americans know more about their favorite TV dramas then the drama in DC that directly affects their lives. They care more for their "right" to choke down a McDonalds burger or a BurgerKing burger than for their constitutional rights. Then they turn around and lecture us about our rights and about our "democracy". Pride blind the foolish.

Then their faith in God was destroyed, until their churches, all tens of thousands of different "branches and denominations" were for the most part little more then Sunday circuses and their televangelists and top protestant mega preachers were more then happy to sell out their souls and flocks to be on the "winning" side of one pseudo Marxist politician or another. Their flocks may complain, but when explained that they would be on the "winning" side, their flocks were ever so quick to reject Christ in hopes for earthly power. Even our Holy Orthodox churches are scandalously liberalized in America.

The final collapse has come with the election of Barack Obama. His speed in the past three months has been truly impressive. His spending and money printing has been a record setting, not just in America's short history but in the world. If this keeps up for more then another year, and there is no sign that it will not, America at best will resemble the Wiemar Republic and at worst Zimbabwe.

These past two weeks have been the most breath taking of all. First came the announcement of a planned redesign of the American Byzantine tax system, by the very thieves who used it to bankroll their thefts, loses and swindles of hundreds of billions of dollars. These make our Russian oligarchs look little more then ordinary street thugs, in comparison. Yes, the Americans have beat our own thieves in the shear volumes. Should we congratulate them?

These men, of course, are not an elected panel but made up of appointees picked from the very financial oligarchs and their henchmen who are now gorging themselves on trillions of American dollars, in one bailout after another. They are also usurping the rights, duties and powers of the American congress (parliament). Again, congress has put up little more then a whimper to their masters.

Then came Barack Obama's command that GM's (General Motor) president step down from leadership of his company. That is correct, dear reader, in the land of "pure" free markets, the American president now has the power, the self given power, to fire CEOs and we can assume other employees of private companies, at will. Come hither, go dither, the centurion commands his minions.

So it should be no surprise, that the American president has followed this up with a "bold" move of declaring that he and another group of unelected, chosen stooges will now redesign the entire automotive industry and will even be the guarantee of automobile policies. I am sure that if given the chance, they would happily try and redesign it for the whole of the world, too. Prime Minister Putin, less then two months ago, warned Obama and UK's Blair, not to follow the path to Marxism, it only leads to disaster. Apparently, even though we suffered 70 years of this Western sponsored horror show, we know nothing, as foolish, drunken Russians, so let our "wise" Anglo-Saxon fools find out the folly of their own pride.

Again, the American public has taken this with barely a whimper...but a "freeman" whimper.

So, should it be any surprise to discover that the Democratically controlled Congress of America is working on passing a new regulation that would give the American Treasury department the power to set "fair" maximum salaries, evaluate performance and control how private companies give out pay raises and bonuses? Senator Barney Franks, a social pervert basking in his homosexuality (of course, amongst the modern, enlightened American societal norm, as well as that of the general West, homosexuality is not only not a looked down upon life choice, but is often praised as a virtue) and his Marxist enlightenment, has led this effort. He stresses that this only affects companies that receive government monies, but it is retroactive and taken to a logical extreme, this would include any company or industry that has ever received a tax break or incentive.

The Russian owners of American companies and industries should look thoughtfully at this and the option of closing their facilities down and fleeing the land of the Red as fast as possible. In other words, divest while there is still value left.

The proud American will go down into his slavery with out a fight, beating his chest and proclaiming to the world, how free he really is. The world will only snicker.

Here we have the testimony of one who actually had learnt by his own experience how frightful the appearance of the evil enemy is, and who declares that nothing can be more horrible than the form the devil assumes.

O my God! how overwhelming the terrors that will take possession of the hapless individual who lies at the point of death when the infernal dragon appears, full of rage, and threatening to swallow him up in his fiery jaws.

H.R 1388 allows institutions of higher education to incorporate service learning as a part of health professions, criminal justice, public policy, and teacher education curricula. In addition, it provides special consideration of applications submitted by Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Hispanic Serving Institutions, and Tribal Colleges and Universities. Somehow last week both houses of congress pushed forward an expansion of the Americorps national service plan. If you recall last year, the Obamassiah proposed a civilian national security force that’s “just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded” as the U.S. military.

The legislation included this language: “a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people.” In other words, start the goose stepping when they’re young, and expand the boots on the street. That’s right, Obama wants his own civilian army of young people. Does that ring any historical bells with anyone? How about the guy with the funny moustache?

Hmm, if forced to choose, I'd go to Texas in a heartbeat. There may be something too this when you start to analyze the cultural divide in this country, it is more divided than ever. There used to be core sets of beliefs that Americans believed in, call it brain washing, if you will.

That has all gone away. People make up their own minds, follow who they want to follow. Things like the internet are actually serving to break down society not unify it in anyway. And this may not be a bad thing in the end. Why be subjugated to people who do not share your beliefs? Why get used when you can pack your bags and move?

in imitation of Your holy Family,
so that having revered You and loved You faithfully on earth,
we may praise You eternally in heaven.

Mary, dearest Mother,
to your intercession we have recourse,
knowing that your Divine Son will hear your prayers.
Glorious patriarch, Saint Joseph,
help us by your powerful prayers
and offer our prayers to Jesus through Mary’s hands.

You sanctified family life by Your beautiful virtues.
Grant that we, with the help of Mary and Joseph,

Consecration to the Holy Family

O Jesus, our most loving Redeemer, who having come to enlighten the world with Thy teaching and example, didst will to pass the greater part of Thy life in humility and subjection to Mary and Joseph in the poor home in Nazareth, thus sanctifying the Family that was to be an example for all Christian families, graciously receive our family as it dedicates and consecrates itself to Thee this day. Do Thou defend us, guard us and establish amongst us Thy holy fear, true peace, and concord in Christian love: in order that, by conforming ourselves to the divine pattern of Thy family, we may be able, all of us without exception, to attain to eternal happiness.

Mary, dear Mother of Jesus and Mother of us, by thy kindly intercession make this our humble offering acceptable in the sight of Jesus, and obtain for us His graces and blessings.

O Saint Joseph, most holy guardian of Jesus and Mary, assist us by thy prayers in all our spiritual and temporal necessities; that so we may be enabled to praise our divine Savior Jesus, together with Mary and thee, for all eternity.

A quick Mass from the FSSP in Vienna, Austria. No felt banners, happy-clappy 70's sing songs here. I miss the Tridentine, haven't been in months ..... time to get back to where I once belonged.

I truly believe this Mass strikes fear into Satan and his followers. The entire diabolic turning starting in the 1960s can be traced to the unholy supression of the Tridentine Mass.
