And the Other Shoe Drops

Second Blogger Quits Edwards Campaign
RALEIGH, N.C. (AP) -- A second blogger working for Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards quit Tuesday under pressure from conservative critics who said her previous online messages were anti-Catholic.

Melissa McEwan wrote on her personal blog, Shakespeare's Sister, that she left the campaign because she was becoming increasingly uncomfortable with the level of attention focused on her and her family.

"This was a decision I made, with the campaign's reluctant support, because my remaining the focus of sustained ideological attacks was inevitably making me a liability to the campaign," McEwan said Tuesday night.
That's right "ideological attacks." Your twisted sister is moaning about stone throwing and then has published vicious emails claiming they are from "hateful Christians." Mr. Donahue has successfully framed the argument and the words on the blogs speak for themselves. 30 million Roman Catholics will decide what to think of these two.

Edwards said, "We're beginning a great debate about the future of our country, and we can't let it be hijacked." Yes, we cannot let it get hi-jacked by foul-mouthed bigots with no respect for God and the people that fear and worship Him.

Donahue noted what I said yesterday regarding the blowback to the Edwards campaign,

"It's too bad that Edwards didn't make the decision himself to get rid of them," Donohue said Tuesday night. "Why he had to wait for these women to bail on their own doesn't speak well for him."

But we can forget all this and resume our watch over this ambulance chasing, limosine liberal who likes to channel dead babies in court when he wants to win a case but has no compunction against in utero murder (aka "choice").
