Russian Orthodox leader: Homosexuality a Vicious Deviation From God-Given Human Nature

The more I read about Patriarch Alexis II the more I like him.

On a Sodomite march in Moscow:
Russian Orthodox Patriarch Alexis II congratulated Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov for his opposition to the 'gay pride' parade in Moscow. In the letter, the Patriarch said, "I was gratified to learn that you and the government of Moscow have approached this problem with civil responsibility not only for the present of our country, but also for its future."
also
"the Church has invariably supported the institution of the family and condemns untraditional relations, seeing them as a vicious deviation from God-given human nature." He continued, "The Church treats people with such inclinations with pastoral responsibility urging them to reform and resolutely opposes any attempts to present this sinful tendency as a 'norm' and example to follow. The Church does not accept any propaganda for immorality."

On relations with the Roman Catholic Church:
"I am convinced," the Patriarch continued in his letter to the Pope, "that one of today's priorities for our Churches, which have a shared vision of the many problems currently facing the modern world, must be the defense and affirmation in society of the Christian values by which humanity has lived for more than a millennium. I hope that the rapid resolution of outstanding problems between our two Churches will also contribute to this end."

Pope Tom's ecumenical solution set: #1 Make Alexis and all his deputies Cardinals, ensuring they have a substantial voting bloc at the next Conclave. #2 Require Alexis to permit the few Roman Catholic priests currently operating in Russia to continue to do so only under his authority. #3 On the theological front give the Orthodox everything they want.

As the CCC says, the Orthodox Christians are our other lung. The Western lung has a touch of cancer right now so we need to be breathing with both.

Liberal Baby Bust

Read all about it here in the USA today.

Like mules, liberals are sterile, they produce no offspring. This is why they resort to careers like journalism and teaching as they must reach out and brainwash others into their deathcult. (Read about Indoctrination High here.)

Here are the salient out-takes from the USA Today article.

What's the difference between Seattle and Salt Lake City? There are many differences, of course, but here's one you might not know. In Seattle, there are nearly 45% more dogs than children. In Salt Lake City, there are nearly 19% more kids than dogs.
It's not that people in a progressive city such as Seattle are so much fonder of dogs than are people in a conservative city such as Salt Lake City. It's that progressives are so much less likely to have children.
This dynamic helps explain the gradual drift of American culture toward religious fundamentalism and social conservatism. Among states that voted for President Bush in 2004, the average fertility rate is more than 11% higher than the rate of states for Sen. John Kerry.
This liberalism leads to deep depression and despair. A Pew research poll found that conservatives are happy and liberals are miserable even when controlling for income.

Several of them stand out: Married people are happier than unmarrieds. People who worship frequently are happier than those who don't. Republicans are happier than Democrats. Rich people are happier than poor people. Whites and Hispanics are happier than blacks. Sunbelt residents are happier than those who live in the rest of the country.

The reason for this happiness? Submission to their Lord Jesus Christ, which conservatives do in great numbers (the smart ones going ad Jesu per Mariam). The reason for the misery of the liberals (typically single, late-marrying and childless) is submission to the Evil One and is ways, even though they might not even know it. The rich may be happier than the poor but since it is easier for a camel to go through a eye of a needle than for a rich person to get into Heaven (St. Mathew 19:24) their happiness will be short lived (unless of course they're busy giving away their wealth.) Again, sunbelt residents: more Christian conservatives.
