Still Here
With only a dial up connection I won't be doing too much posting although I must praise the dial up service here as pretty good. I've been able to trade stocks, catch up on email and keep abreast of the news fairly well.
More later, time to do some processing of photos.

Big Macho Eco-Tourism Experience
I ripped up my knee on coral. Otherwise it was fun hand feeding fish and snorkeling. Funny thing of the day: laughing at Japanese couples wearing matching oufits. Wifey says we should do the same thing, only all four of us with matching clother.
I'm jet lagged as all get out. Woke up at 10:30 pm local and spent the night blogging and trading stocks on-line (my heretofore secret escape from USA strategy which worked brilliantly save for my limited stock trading skills.)
We're at a 5 star resort which caters to the richest people in Asia. We get 2.5 days of this and then it is off to the real Philippines. I hope to snap some pictures of the grinding poverty that exists here. My advance apologies to the unnamed people in those photos but I must chronicle this. No offense, either, to any Filipinos reading this, my goal is to point out that the lowest economic strata of the USA is middle of the road for the rest of this planet so my goal is get Americans think before complaining (or dragging SUVs into church.)
Bible Thumping for Dollars
SUVs at altar, Detroit church prays for a bailout
By Kevin Krolicki and Soyoung KimDETROIT, Dec 7 (Reuters) - With sport-utility vehicles at the altar and auto workers in the pews, one of Detroit's largest churches on Sunday offered up prayers for Congress to bail out the struggling auto industry.
"We have never seen as midnight an hour as we face this week," the Rev. Charles Ellis told several thousand congregants at a rousing service at Detroit's Greater Grace Temple. "This week, lives are hanging above an abyss of uncertainty as both houses of Congress decide whether to extend a helping hand."
Local car dealerships donated three hybrid SUVs to be displayed during the service, one from each of the Big Three. A Ford Escape, Chevy Tahoe from GM and a Chrysler Aspen were parked just in front of the choir and behind the pulpit.
Silly Protestantism .. this is American spirituality in a nut shell. The American Protestants have always pointed to their wealth as a sign of God's blessing. I say repent, endure God's judgment and convert to Roman Catholicism if you value your souls.
I'm going to post pictures of people living with hardly anything and these poor people have more faith in God in their pinkies than these fat asses at this service.
On an economics level, these people can take their $80/hour unionized jobs and eat dirt. I bought American, twice over as I'm a Ford guy but at this point these are just Democrat cars, not American cars. Ford closed the Atlanta plant that built my Taurus and moved the Taurus' replacement (Probe) to Mexico. Now they want US taxpayer money? For what? To close down the Chicago that built my Freestyle cross-over and move it to Canada?

Humanculture
No, when I write humanculture I do not mean snooty a-holes at NYC cheese and wine parties. There's agriculture (harvesting from the land), aquaculture (harvesting from the sea) and humanculture (harvesting from humans).
In this humanculture, a new growth industry in the biotech field, there's the subtle splicing and dicing of DNA, slicing and dicing victims of in-utero murder and in the case cited below, just plane ole organ ripping from the dead (low milage, barely used condition):
A multi-million dollar lawsuit by 42 parents against Auckland's Green Lane Hospital for keeping dead babies' hearts and organs without consent has been settled secretly.
A three-week trial had been due to begin in Wellington's High Court in October but was called off when parents agreed to a confidential settlement, gagging them from further comment.
The Sunday Star-Times understands the settlement paid was $5000 per person a fraction of the $70,000 damages sought by each parent and includes a yet-to-be-made apology plus a denial of liability by the Crown.
In 2002, Auckland Hospital stunned families by admitting it had kept more than 1300 hearts and other organs, mostly from babies and children some for more than 50 years up until as late as 2001. Many were taken without permission after autopsies and kept in the hospital's library.
These arrogant and evil medical thugs think they are just so much more than your average Chinese commie organ harvesting operation. The only difference is the white coat and white skin.
Our own communist overlords in Massachusetts are committed to the bio-tech industry and I suspect that they will be keenly interested in getting in on this action. Beware.
Oh Yes They Do
Obama: Gun owners do not need to stock up
As gun sales shoot up around the country, President-elect Barack Obama said Sunday that gun-owning Americans do not need to rush out and stock up before he is sworn in next month."I believe in common-sense gun safety laws, and I believe in the second amendment," Obama said at a news conference. "Lawful gun owners have nothing to fear. I said that throughout the campaign. I haven't indicated anything different during the transition. I think people can take me at my word."
But National Rifle Association spokesman Andrew Arulanandam said it's not Obama's words — but his legislative track record — that has gun-buyers flocking to the stores.
It's lock and load time, Praise God and Pass the Ammo

FACEBOOK: Proud to be Roman Catholic
I sorta noted to myself that if challenged on my membership in the Roman Catholic Church (the only legitimate Christian Church outside of which there is no salvation) by "friends" in my facebook.com profile, I'd just point out the overwhelming white, middle class nature of atheistic liberalism and the Churches' diversity (diversity being a favorite liberal touch-stone).
My quip is this: whenever I look at the latest members of the FACEBOOK group "Proud to be Roman Catholic" I can scarcely pronounce the names. So, who exactly, is "diverse"?
Mother Theresa on Abortion
Heard an interesting stat that the demographic most in favor of abortion "rights" - males 20-40. Makes you go "hmmm."
Another Priest Gets It
H/T to freerepublic .com, in the Sacramento Bee
Several people attending Mass on Saturday evening at St. Joseph's Catholic Church said they support a Modesto priest who is urging parishioners to go to confession if they voted for Barack Obama.
The Rev. Joseph Illo took issue with Obama's position condoning abortion in a Nov. 21 letter sent to 15,000 members of St. Joseph's parish. "If ... you were clear on his position and you knew the gravity of the question, I urge you to go to confession before receiving communion," his letter said.
Rick Walsh of Modesto said he was in full agreement with Illo's sending the letter. He said there were other issues at stake in the presidential election but "human life trumps anything beyond that."
Mary Frampton of Modesto said, "There is no more serious moral issue than the killing of the unborn." She said she was 100 percent in support of Illo's position.
The Culture of Death Speaks
Eugenics is one of those knock-down words used to silence argument. It was used several times last week, in radio discussions and articles about women choosing to give birth to babies with Down’s syndrome.
The subject came up partly as advance publicity for a Sky Real Lives television documentary this Wednesday about a heroic young woman who adopted seven babies with Down’s, whose mothers had rejected them. There was also a BBC news story last week suggesting that more women these days are knowingly choosing to give birth to babies with Down’s.
In fact the news story was misleading.
Actually, the proportion of pregnant women who choose to abort their foetuses when antenatal screening has detected Down’s syndrome has remained constant since screening started, at about 91%. Also the number of Down’s abortions has tripled since 1989. The total number of babies born with Down’s each year has indeed increased since then, but not by much. This small increase may be due in part to the fact that many women have children when they are much older these days, and some of them refuse antenatal screening.
~snip~
I protest out of long personal experience.
Someone close to me in our family has a learning disability, which has been a handicap and a sorrow to her, and my lifelong experience of children and adults with learning disabilities, including many with Down’s, as they have grown older has given me a different perspective. I am convinced that it is a grave misfortune for babies to be born with Down’s or any comparably serious syndrome. It’s a misfortune for their parents and their siblings as well. Sad observations over decades have convinced me: a damaged baby is a damaged family, even now.
Bold mine. Wow. Just wow. Someone's child won't be going to Eton and then on to Oxford, oh the tragedy. She's right here though ...
There are some strange contradictions surrounding the question of abortion. People who reject abortion as always wrong are consistent and one cannot argue with them. But anyone who thinks abortion is acceptable under some circumstances, and who yet disapproves of what’s emotionally seen as “eugenic” abortion, is in an untenable position.Pro-life is all or nothing.
A commenter writes "no one has the right to judge another's unique and personal situation."
Then, how is it that a parent can be allowed kill their child? Contradiction.

Not that the fate of the U.S.A has any significant effect on me but .... let me credit this image to a post over at great blog I stumbled over: Sorry, All the Clever Names Are Taken:

Showdown Alright, But Not the Right One
From the Washington Times:
President-elect Barack Obama's plan to pass the Freedom of Choice Act is setting up a showdown with the Vatican.Wow. I had to post nearly the entire article.
"The first thing I will do as president is sign the Freedom of Choice Act," he said at an address before Planned Parenthood on July 17, 2007. And if he does, it will trigger a harsh response from Pope Benedict XVI, as well as a political revolt among practicing American Catholics.
Mr. Obama signing the Freedom of Choice Act (FOCA) "would be the equivalent of a war," a senior Vatican official told Time magazine last week. "It would be like saying, 'We've heard the Catholic Church and we have no interest in their concerns.' " At a recent Baltimore meeting, the U.S. Catholic bishops pledged to challenge Mr. Obama on his defense of abortion rights.
FOCA seeks to codify Roe v. Wade into federal law. It would remove all restrictions on abortion in state statutes - including restraints on late-term abortions and parental notification laws. It would also entrench taxpayer funding of abortion. Moreover, it would compel Catholic health-care facilities to provide the heinous procedure. In short, it constitutes a fundamental assault on basic Catholic doctrine.
Mr. Obama is a radical on abortion. He is vehemently pro-choice, even opposing the ban on partial-birth abortion. While in the Illinois state legislature, Mr. Obama voted against legislation protecting babies born in botched abortions.
...
Yet, abortion is the seminal moral issue of our time. Nearly 50 million unborn babies have been murdered since Roe v. Wade legalized abortion in 1973. If one includes Europe, the number of dead fetuses is staggering. Abortion has claimed more victims than either of the two great totalitarian ideologies of the 20th century, communism and Nazism.
Both Pope Benedict and the late Pope John Paul II have not only decried abortion as state-sanctioned infanticide, but explicitly - and repeatedly - said it must be outlawed: There can be no compromise with such monstrous barbarism. Abortion is akin to the Jewish question in Europe during the 1930s: Should an entire class of people be denied their essential humanity? This is like saying Western democracies should have come to terms with the Aryan racial laws of Nazi Germany, and sought to minimize the number of Jews sent to the gas ovens. The argument is morally repugnant and politically naïve. Ultimately, accommodation with evil never works. We learned that with Nazi Germany and with slavery in this country.
Pro-Obama Catholics fail to recognize abortion is the centerpiece of the 1960s sexual revolution. The secular left spearheaded this frontal assault on Christianity and traditional bourgeois civilization.
The result has been the proliferation of pornography, rampant permissiveness, the loss of innocence among many of our teens, the coarsening of our culture, sky-rocketing divorce rates, countless children raised in broken homes, and the deaths of millions due to sexually transmitted diseases.
Rather than a hedonistic utopia, liberal progressives have engendered a social nightmare. They must defend abortion at all costs because their goal is to make sex consequence free, forging a revolutionary order characterized by moral relativism and unlimited sexual gratification. But sex is never consequence free: it is laden with moral choices.
The Vatican is the last line of defense against the new Dark Age. It is time for the Holy Father to personally speak out against FOCA and warn pro-choice Catholics in the Obama administration they will not only be refused communion at Mass but face excommunication. No self-respecting, principled Catholic can or should support murder - regardless of who occupies the White House.
The Pope need not concern himself with the Grand Mufti of AmeriKa. The real issue is with apostates inside the walls of Christianity. Take care of the Judases and the rest will take care of itself. The Pope has temporal authority over Christians, let the excommunications commence.
Not just the recent Popes have condemned abortion as murder ... I've been getting some awesome quotes from Saints and Bishops from the last 2000 years in a FACEBOOK group, Catholic and Proud of It.
I really like how this article brings up 1930s Germany. I'll be returning to this theme again and again. The economic and social parallels are palpable.

And One Monk Who Does Not
The Dalai Lama, the exiled Tibetan spiritual and temporal leader, on Friday said sex spelt fleeting satisfaction and trouble later, while chastity offered a better life and "more freedom.""Sexual pressure, sexual desire, actually I think is short period satisfaction and often, that leads to more complication," the Dalai Lama told reporters in a Lagos hotel, speaking in English without a translator.
He said conjugal life caused "too much ups and downs."
Considered a Buddhist Master exempt from the religion's wheel of death and reincarnation, the Dalai Lama waxed eloquent on the Buddhist credo of non-attachment.
"Too much attachment towards your children, towards your partner," was "one of the obstacle or hindrance of peace of mind," he said.
The Dalai is to be congratulated for a clear explanation of his religion. In regard to sex outside of marriage, the Dalai's view of sex is right on the money. Sex between unmarried and married couple cannot even be compared, they are not the same thing. The unmarried act being usually of desperation, rape or selfishness, the married act being of selflessness, of love. But he is clearly lumping all sex together which renders his pronouncement quite silly. In it we can see Buddhism's fanciful rejection of our basic human nature, it's uselessness and a sort of second-guessing of God's plan. He isn't wrong so much as he is not seeing the whole picture, he sees only part and then erroneously extends it as a whole.
One fun way to evaluate something is to make it universal law and then see what happens. What does the Dalai propose? If everyone achieves this "peace" by following his dictats, do we all live in cells and report periodically to the reproductive center just to keep the race going? Can everyone be a monk? Of course not, that's like dictating that every animal must be an owl.
In this Buddhist pronouncement we see a dreary, monochromatic world. Contrast this with the Christian vision with its emphasis on love in all of its versions with people seperated out into vocations: the religious, the celibate, the married.
Summary: Buddhism is useless outside of being an actual Buddhist monk, hence its attractiveness to counter-culture types in the West who are not seeking God but are throwing on a religion only to later justify their intellectually superior athiesm.

There's One Priest Who Gets It
COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - A South Carolina Roman Catholic priest has told his parishioners that they should refrain from receiving Holy Communion if they voted for Barack Obama because the Democratic president-elect supports abortion, and supporting him "constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil."
The Rev. Jay Scott Newman said in a letter distributed Sunday to parishioners at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville that they are putting their souls at risk if they take Holy Communion before doing penance for their vote.
"Our nation has chosen for its chief executive the most radical pro-abortion politician ever to serve in the United States Senate or to run for president," Newman wrote, referring to Obama by his full name, including his middle name of Hussein.
"Voting for a pro-abortion politician when a plausible pro-life alternative exits constitutes material cooperation with intrinsic evil, and those Catholics who do so place themselves outside of the full communion of Christ's Church and under the judgment of divine law. Persons in this condition should not receive Holy Communion until and unless they are reconciled to God in the Sacrament of Penance, lest they eat and drink their own condemnation."
...
"I don't understand anyone who would call themselves a Christian, let alone a Catholic, and could vote for someone who's a pro-abortion candidate," said Ted Kelly, 64, who volunteers his time as lector for the church. "You're talking about the murder of innocent
beings."
Actually I have to give credit where credit is due. I nearly feinted in the pews three weeks ago when the priest at the parish of my son's school said explicitly at Mass during the homily that Roman Catholics cannot support pro-abortion candidates like Barack Hussein Obama. That was the first time I have ever heard a Novus Ordo priest use the word abortion never mind clearly identify politicians who support it and insis that we not support them.
Pro-life homilies are the norm at the local Tridentine Mass religious order but it is nice to see the diocesian Novus Ordo priests getting with the program.

This is Not America: A Dark Vision

John McCain Peterborough, NH Nov 2, 2008
The boys and I were there! Waited in line for something like an hour and then got positioned outside their main Town Hall. Eight hundred lucky ones made it inside but John pulled up in the Straight Talk Express and addressed the crowd for a few minutes. We were about 35 feet back. I had my 5 year old on my shoulders and my 4 yr old held up high. I was holding about 90 pounds of kids up for about ten minutes. That's Red Sox Legend Curt Schilling and his wife to the right in the red jackets.
I have to admit, it was an exhilarating experience and biggest thing that made me come away from the experience was this: the People.
No matter what happens, there will continue to millions of us who love God, who love America and have our heads screwed on straight. John McCain is an honest man and he is Pro-Life. I've wondered why the Left has not attacked him more for this ... perhaps it is because they know that there is a pro-life groundswell in this country and they know that conservative have had quibbles with McCain on various issues.
Hispanic Peoples, In the Name of the Mother of God, Do Not Vote for Satan
WASHINGTON, October 31, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - An audio clip by Texas Auxiliary Bishop Rene Gracida was sent this morning to 2.9 Million Hispanic Voters via email. The clip, which is also running on radio and TV in swing states, says:
Dear Friends,
We only have days left before a critical election to elect a new president. In this moment, like no other moment in history, Hispanic votes will decide the future of the United States. That means that we have a great weight of responsibility.
During this election, there are many Catholics who have told the Catholic people that it is ok to vote for Obama for president.
That is simply not true. Unfortunately, it is a lie.
Please, read the words of a beloved Hispanic bishop, Bishop Rene H. Gracida, who has faithfully served the Hispanic Catholics of Florida and Texas.
"I am Bishop Rene A. Gracida, reminding all Catholics that they need to vote in these elections with an informed conscience.
A Catholic cannot say that he/she voted in this election in good conscience if he/she votes for a candidate in favor of abortion.
Barak Hussein Obama is a candidate in favor of abortion." Listen. Atender a razones.
Hispanic Peoples, In the Name of the Mother of God, Do Not Vote for El Diablo !
Obama is Satan
If you want to know Barack Obama's real views on abortion, you should meet registered nurse Jill Stanek.
Mrs. Stanek worked at Christ Hospital in Oak Lawn, Illinois from 1993 to 2001. When she worked in the hospital's Labor and Delivery Department she saw that babies who survived abortion attempts were left to die alone in supply rooms. They could linger for as long as eight hours, without medical care, without even the dignity of a warm blanket or a soft touch. Their tiny bodies were then dumped in the trash. Mr. Obama's spiritual mentor served on the board of the hospital. Mrs. Stanek went on a public crusade to protect these children.
At a 2001 Illinois legislature hearing, Mr. Obama questioned Mrs. Stanek. She insisted that children needed medical care if they were born alive. Mr. Obama said: "Ms. Stanek, your initial testimony last year showed your dismay at the lack of regard for human life. I agreed with you last year and we suggested that there be a Comfort Room or something of that nature be done. The hospital acknowledged that and changes were made and you are still unimpressed. It sounds to me like you are really not interested in how these fetus [es] are treated, but rather not providing absolutely any medical care or life to them."
Mrs. Stanek replied: "What the hospital did was try to make things look better. What it really is, is that the baby is still dead."
In committee testimony, Mr. Obama said it was sufficient to give "comfort care" to a baby that is born despite all the efforts to kill it. "Comfort care" means giving the infant a warm blanket and permitting the baby to be held by someone as it dies. This is the most Mr. Obama could find in his heart to provide - a warm blanket for a child grasping for life.
Obama is evil, he is Satan personified. He has no soul. He must be stopped.

Cleric Faces Possible Criminal Charges for Marrying 12-Year-Old
from foxnews.com
The poor Mr. Widianto should have moved to Massachusetts before doing that:A wealthy Indonesian Muslim cleric faces accusations of having illegal sex with a minor after marrying a 12-year-old girl selected for him through a contest.
Pujiono Cahyo Widianto, a 43-year-old owner of an Islamic boarding school, wed and likely slept with Lutfiana Ulfa in August after she won a contest to become Pujiono’s second wife judged by his first wife, 26, and followers, the Jakarta Post reported. Additionally, the commission intends to request an edict forbidding marriages to minors as Pujiono has declared plans to also marry a 7-year-old girl and 9-year-old girl, the Post reported.
The girl’s parents admitted that financial difficulties led them to marry their daughter to Pujiono and said the marriage is valid in the eyes of their religion (kawin siri), though not registered with the state, Indonesian Child Protection Commission secretary Hadi Supeno told the Post.

Joe the Plumber
Conservatives yesterday ripped Obama after he was caught on video telling an Ohio plumber that he intends to take the profits of small-business owners and "spread the wealth around" to those with lesser incomes.
Joe was headline news after the debate and the communist vultures immediately set in. His address and pictures of his house were immediately posted over at the moonbat site Huffington Post.
It did not take long for his tax records to be investigated. Here. Joe Biden attacked him early in the am. And even even Dylan Ratigan from CNBC's Fast Money closed the show with snarky comment about Joe not being a plumber (not true) and not being registered to vote (also not true.)

When criticized, Obama's soul can be seen in his eyes.
The narcissist’s anger and intolerance is projected on his servile followers who also become angry and intolerant of criticism of their leader. Remember the sick symbiosis between the narcissist and his codependents? The followers get their narcissistic supply by elevating the status of their leader. The greater he looks, the better they feel. They see their glory is his glory. Conversely, when the narcissist is criticized, his followers become offended. They take those criticisms personally and their instinct of self defense is triggered. They will become vigilantes and will silence their critics through intimidation, bullying, mocking, threats and violence (like calling those who disagree with Obama, racists). - from http://www.faithfreedom.org/obama.html

New Bishop Lays Out the Law on Homosexuality
When two Catholics from Southern California learned that Sacramento Coadjutor Bishop Jaime Soto was to be the keynote speaker at the National Association of Catholic Diocesan Lesbian and Gay Ministries conference in Long Beach on Sept. 18, they decided to attend themselves to see and hear the talk in person. They say what they witnessed was a bishop who “courageously but gently” gave a clear presentation of Church teaching on sexuality.
The National Association of Catholic Diocesan Lesbian and Gay Ministries, based in Berkeley, is a network of local ministries that has the reputation of taking, at best, an ambiguous stance on the moral character of homosexuality and homosexual acts.
But there was noting ambiguous about Bishop Soto’s remarks to the group. “Sexual relations between people of the same sex can be alluring for homosexuals, but it deviates from the true meaning of the act and distracts them from the true nature of love to which God has called us all,” Bishop Soto said. “For this reason, it is sinful. Married love is a beautiful, heroic expression of faithful, life-giving, life-creating love. It should not be accommodated and manipulated for those who would believe that they can and have a right to mimic its unique expression."

Stop the Presses
The new Prime Minister of Japan is a Roman Catholic. Now, historically Roman Catholics had made some real headway in the land of the rising sun. Throughout the 19th and early 20th Centuries we had made some real headway in the land of the rising son. Catholicism had really taken quite a foothold in two Japanese cities, Hiroshima and Nagasaki but we all know how that turned out.
Well, things have been in high gear the 50 years or so and today is the culmination of that. I present to you Mr. Taro Aso. (from the Washington times)
Why apologize for wanting to attract rich Jews? They're excellent citizens here in the USA and we've benefited from their emigration here. The 68-year-old former Olympic sharpshooter was declared premier after the LDP-controlled lower house overruled the upper house, which had voted for Ichiro Ozawa, the chief of the opposition Democratic Party of Japan.
Aso, known for his rightist leanings and acerbic wisecracks, will lead a country wracked by political divisions and spiking concerns over the economy, which has stalled amid the ballooning financial crisis in the United States.
He recently drew ire, for instance, by comparing the top opposition party to the Nazis. In 2001, he was forced to apologize after saying the ideal country would be one that attracts "the richest Jewish people."

This video, does however, capture the rage of African Americans, thinking ones. It's been a while since I sat through a hellfire and brimstone sermon by a black preacher but this one is entertaining. This pastor is a rough character from Harlem but I'm a somewhat rough character from the housing projects just outside of Boston.

An Image Most Offensive to Faggy Europeans
from Lifesite News:
September 11, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - The European Parliament evidently has too much time on its hands. Last week, this glorious and august legislative body voted to warn advertisers and marketers against "sexual stereotyping."
The New York Times reports that some of these advertisements are exactly what the European Parliament is attempting to eliminate. The legislature voted 504 to 110 to "scold" advertisers and call the industry to higher standards. The clothing powerhouse Dolce & Gabbana was cited as an example of an offending company. The firm, known for its advocacy of liberal causes, was cited for an advertisement that featured "a woman in spike heels pinned to the ground by sweaty men in tight jeans."
The European Parliament does not like that advertisement. Not one bit. But the concern is not the explicit sexuality, but the sexual stereotyping. The European Parliament wants gender balancing in ads. Next time, perhaps the firm had better feature a man in spike heels pinned down by sweaty women in tight jeans. Fair is fair.
Another target of the European Parliament's concern - Mr. Clean. The Parliamentary report argued that Mr. Clean, whose image dates from the 1950s, is an example of sexual stereotyping. Mr. Clean's "muscular physique," The Times reports, "might imply that only a strong man is powerful enough to tackle dirt."
Plus the image is an affront to European men who pride themselves on big hair, suave clothes and waif-like physiques. I have a theory that all those centuries of wars of reduced the genetic stock of European men. More on this later.

As a backgrounder, Sarah's parents are ex-Catholics. Here's a video of her in her church. In the final analysis better an ex-Catholic than a communist or a Muslim. Religious information about John McCain is not easy to come by.

Proof of a God in Heaven?
From businessandmedia.org
Sometime you really have wonder at what cost some are willing to see their political ideology advanced.
To liberal documentary filmmaker Michael Moore, the bounds are seemingly endless. Moore has made a recent career out of attacking President George W. Bush, bashing conservatives and criticizing business. His latest outrage occurred on MSNBC’s August 29 “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” and when he commented about the coincidental timing of an unfortunate disaster – the potential for Hurricane Gustav to make landfall at the beginning of the Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minn.“I was just thinking, this Gustav is proof that there is a God in heaven,” Moore said, laughing. “To have it planned at the same time – that it would actually be on its way to New Orleans for day one of the Republican Convention, up in the Twin Cities – at the top of the Mississippi River.”
After that comment, Moore backed off a bit and did say he hoped nobody got hurt and he hoped everybody is taking cover. However, he failed to make note of the $43.625 billion in damage the last hurricane to strike New Orleans caused – Hurricane Katrina in 2005 – and the billions of dollars the storm cost taxpayers.
If it is proof of a God in Heaven then one needs to wonder why God is reigning death and destruction on one of the most fervently Democratic cities in the USA, while the Florida panhandle (solidly conservative), Mississippi (solidly conservative), Alabama (solidly conservative) and Houston (solidly conservative) are all spared. Also devastated by Hurricane Gustav: Cuba, spiritual homeland of all Democrats.
If the levees break again, this might be the final blow to New Orleans, like abandoning Sodom and Gomorrah, let everyone leave and not look back longingly.

But she has aspects particularly interesting to me. She is a mother of five children, able to balance two jobs, the house and the policy. She is also the proud mother of Trig (see photo), a baby born in April, with Down syndrome. And when she was offered the opportunity to do a prenatal diagnosis to offer her the posibility of abortion, she objected. Wow, Sarah!
ABSTRACT In the day's plane crash in Madrid, in which 154 people died, what did God? There are people who ask that. In the video below, a young woman student at the University of Berkeley explains that she became that question when his mother died suddenly at 49 years (in English with Spanish subtitles)
ABSTRACT. Curiously, in the United States, the Democratic candidates who are Catholics (Ferraro in 1984, Kerry in 2004 or now Biden in 2008) are pro abortion. You have a good article about the faith of Biden here. The only improvement of the right to life of the unborn has taken a non-Catholic, George Bush. This president has undeniable flaws but banned one type of abortion more bloody, the partial birth abortion.
ABSCTRACT. Divorce produces a significant harm to the weaker part: the children. Regardless of moral values, it is important not to hide these data. You can here read this article about a work published in Britain

Woman, Thy Name is Heretic
Aug 28 03:12 AM US/EasternBy RACHEL ZOLLAP Religion Writer
Politics can be treacherous. But House Speaker Nancy Pelosi walked on even
riskier ground in a recent TV interview when she attempted a theological defense
of her support for abortion rights.
Roman Catholic bishops consider her arguments on St. Augustine and free will so far out of line with church teaching that they have issued a steady stream of statements to correct her.
The latest came Wednesday from Pittsburgh Bishop David Zubik, who said Pelosi, D-Calif., "stepped out of her political role and completely misrepresented the teaching of the Catholic Church in regard to abortion."
It has been a harsh week of rebuke for the Democratic congresswoman, a Catholic school graduate who repeatedly has expressed pride in and love for her religious heritage. Cardinals and archbishops in Washington, D.C., Philadelphia, New York and Denver are among those who have criticized her remarks. Archbishop George Niederauer, in Pelosi's hometown of San Francisco, will take up the issue in the Sept. 5 edition of the archdiocesan newspaper, his spokesman said.
Sunday, on NBC's "Meet the Press" program, Pelosi said "doctors of the church" have not been able to define when life begins.
She also cited the role of individual conscience. "God has given us, each of us, a free will and a responsibility to answer for our actions," she said.
Brendan Daly, a spokesman for Pelosi, said in a statement defending her remarks that she "fully appreciates the sanctity of family" and based her views on conception on the "views of Saint Augustine, who said, 'The law does not provide that the act (abortion) pertains to homicide, for there cannot yet be said to be a live soul in a body that lacks sensation.'"
Those chilling words ... "lacks sensation" and yet a babies nervous system is fully formed within weeks of conception. And then, to intermingle theological specualtions on the soul from St Augustine, pull a switcharoo, and justify gruesome murder with St Augustine .. truly this is diabolical disorientation.
Even pseduo Christians (protestants, orthodox, Mormons) chide the Holy Church for Inquisitions and witch burnings .. but with Pelosi you can come to understand their necessity and utility.
I have been waiting for abortion (aka murder) to enter into this race and now it has. How characteristic is it that it comes from aposate Catholics.

Pro-Homosexual Booklet to Be Distributed to All 16,000 US School Districts
Book specifically instructs teacher to "avoid" discussing the idea that homosexual inclinations can be changed
By Hillary White
US, February 21, 2008 (LifeSiteNews.com) - At the same time that news has come out that the Toronto Catholic School board has refused to participate in pro-homosexual activities, homosexual activists are making significant inroads in US schools, as a booklet titled, "Just the Facts about Sexual Orientation and Youth," is set to be distributed to all 16,000 school districts in the country.
More.
I thank my wife for working so hard, my employer for taking good care of me and to God for the wisdom. These three things ensure private Roman Catholic schooling for my children.

Muslims Contest Fecundity, Sue in Court for a Declaration of Relative Sterility
TORONTO — A Muslim group is suing Canada's leading national newsweekly for the right of rebuttal because it published excerpts warning of high Muslim birthrates in the book "America Alone," by syndicated columnist Mark Steyn.
.....
Mr. Steyn, whose syndicated columns appear in The Washington Times, writes that rising birthrates in Muslim countries and the declining number of babies in
Christian and Westernized countries represent a long-term security threat.
The U.S. magazine Human Events published its own account of the Maclean's article, highlighting this passage: "There are signs that Allah will grant Islam victory in Europe — without swords, without guns, without conquests. The 50 million Muslims of Europe will turn it into a Muslim continent within a few decades."
The Human Events article goes on to say: "Just look at the development within Europe, where the number of Muslims is expanding like mosquitoes. Every Western woman in the EU is producing an average of 1.4 children. Every Muslim woman in the same countries is producing 3.5 children."
I guess the Muslims are insulted and insist that they are, in fact, following the ways of the decadent Godless West, the hallmark of which is contraception and recreational abortion. Or perhaps they are insulted by the insinuation they they want Brussels, Paris and Rome. Who can blame them? I'd be offended too, those cities are dumps.
This is a good opportunity to recommend Pat Buchanon's Death of the West.
