Gov. of Texas Decrees That He is the Parent Of All Texas' Children

Texas Requires STD Vaccine for Girls

By LIZ AUSTIN PETERSON
Associated Press Writer

AUSTIN (AP) -- Gov. Rick Perry ordered Friday that schoolgirls in Texas must be vaccinated against the sexually transmitted virus that causes cervical cancer, making Texas the first state to require the shots.

Merck is bankrolling efforts to pass laws in state legislatures across the country mandating it Gardasil vaccine for girls as young as 11 or 12. It doubled its lobbying budget in Texas and has funneled money through Women in Government, an advocacy group made up of female state legislators around the country.

Perry has several ties to Merck and Women in Government. One of the drug company's three lobbyists in Texas is Mike Toomey, his former chief of staff. His current chief of staff's mother-in-law, Texas Republican state Rep. Dianne White Delisi, is a state director for Women in Government.

Toomey was expected to be able to woo conservative legislators concerned about the requirement stepping on parent's rights and about signaling tacit approval of sexual activity to young girls....

Perry, a conservative Christian who opposes abortion rights and stem- cell research using embryonic cells, counts on the religious right for his political base.

But he has said the cervical cancer vaccine is no different than the one that protects children against polio.

"If there are diseases in our society that are going to cost us large amounts of money, it just makes good economic sense, not to mention the health and well being of these individuals to have those vaccines available," he said.
By mandating inoculation against a sexually transmitted disease the Governor of Texas, a plastic haired Evangelical Protestant, has decreed the following:

(1) He is the parent off all children in his state.
(2) He's got money on the mind and his mind on the money.
(3) That "his" children will have sex outside of marriage anyway (and/or he predicts the infidelity of their spouses)
(4) That since fear of contracting diseases encourages chastity, he'll fix that by decree.
(5) That rapists in his state need not fear either contracting or spreading any more disease than is necessary, the same goes for the promiscuous.
(6) That young women are fair game for sexual activity, after all, they're protected!
(7) That he has no moral compass, a usual symptom of protestant heretics, with delusions of grandeur fueled by excessive hairspray.

This insidious decision points to a major flaw in having government control health care especially when the government officials are owned by Big Pharma. When they do this, there's an incentive to control behavior. Perry is going for the jugular. Note bene he's not offering free vaccination or warning citizens that the state will no longer cover diseases that are easily inoculated against, he's calling for the shots.

Merck donated to his campaign and stands to make tons of dough off this. Surprised? This man has no soul. He is a whore, bought and paid for and his Momma, too.

What about your wife, Rick? How about mandatory syphilis shots for her? I mean, after all, she's married to you.

i think you have it ALL wrong

i agree that merck is going to make a killing
but this vaccine should be MANDATORY...

and if you're all righteous and stuff, raise your kids right and you wont' have to worry..but for 99% of the world, it doesn't matter..

i say prevention is better than cure.

Yes I do because medical nazis like you are attempting to parent my children and you are using the power of the state to do it. Even worse, other people's children will victimize mine. We're in this togther, but I'll parent my own children thank you.

"but for 99% of the world, it doesn't matter.." Where does this data come from? How do you know this? What is the source of this revealation?

"i say prevention is better than cure." Well, good for you. Have a family and raise it that way.

Prevention is better than a cure .. this true. That is why teaching chastity to you kids is the best prevention off all.

It's funny to hear the "reproductive rights" crowd and the "pro-choicers" suddenly preventing individuals from making their own medical decisions with their doctor.

As a physician like Chick Pea, I agree with her 100%. No matter how much we emphasize "chastity", young people will have sex. This vaccine is an excellent opportunity to prevent a deadly disease, cervical cancer.

My parents emphasized chastity, and I'm still a virgin. If my parents weren't so protective and devout, I probably would have gone along with the herd (most had premarital sex, married and have since divorced). But my parents taught me how to say no and see a whole world outside of what everyone else is doing. It's very empowering -- even for a man.

I'm waiting to meet a kind woman who hasn't been hardened into a prostitute by popular culture.

Chick Pea: what medical treatment in the United States is "MANDATORY"? Didn't you and VeganDoc take an oath "to do no harm?" Where are the peer-reviewed sources? Being overdetermined doesn't make you a trustworthy physician.

Not arguing the medicine ... just arguing the MANDATORY decree. I have my shots but I'll not be getting any STD vaccines. I'm married ...FOR LIFE.

"young people will have sex" and those that do may consider this treatment ... but good luck to them preventing the genital warts and all the other stuff that condoms and vaccines don't stop.

Sorry Dr. Vegan ... we're not signing onto your pagan lifestyle and keep your sleaze bag daughters away from my sons.

Oh, so I get it, it's not mandatory but we'll take your money at the point of a gun and then reject your kids from school, but it is not mandatory.

Funny policy for a disease that cannot be contracted in a classroom ... but oh wait i get it.

These days the number one locale of sexual abuse is in the schools, this is well documented. So the the idea is innoculate the girls from the pederast teachers and other would be rapists.

This policy smacks of Stalinism with a ephebophilic twist.

Basically, young women are being turned into ready-made rape pods. How about color coded shirts which indicate their current menstrual cycle? How about mandatory vaginal condoms?

I would make it mandatory like the polio vaccine, however, I would not keep girls out of school who did not receive it.

Then it would not be mandatory.

I am not being wise here, I really don't get the connection between supplying a vaccine and turning girls into rape pods.
This is all just "greasing the skids." The condom training, the inoculations etc. etc. Its the processing that Germany gives it prostitutes.

Heres the message 'Well our boys and male teachers are going to violate the girls anyways so we might as well do this.'

The what do you say to the 13 years old girl? "OK, daughter, you're going to have sex soon so take this shot." Some choose not to parent like this, but yes, this is a parent decision.

Let the STD vaccinations start with Rick Perry's wife.
